DAMON CASTILLO

The Damon Castillo Band is based in San Luis Obispo, playing personal, funky, uptempo, jazz-flavored tunes that slide between alternative, pop and rock genres. The band has been around in various forms for over ten years, (previous incarnations have been Jivin Direct and JND), and despite their virtuosity, they’re also the kind of guys you want to bring home to meet your mom.

ROCCO DELUCA

Rocco DeLuca and the Burden are a four-piece American alternative rock band from California who formed in late 2005. Previous to this Rocco DeLuca himself was a solo artist who opened for artists like Taj Mahal, John Mayall and John Lee Hooker, and played with Johnny Cash. Starting in 2003, he had a setup at the Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest, California nearly every Tuesday, running until 2006. In 2005 DeLuca was recognized by independent record label Ironworks. His first single was Colorful, from their debut album I Trust You To Kill Me.

MAIA SHARP

Four years ago, Maia Sharp achieved a lifelong ambition, when Bonnie Raitt invited her to open for and perform with her on the road. DADA

Dada is a three piece rock band that hails from California. The band is made up of Michael Gurley (guitar/co-lead vocals), Joie Calio (bass/co-lead vocals) and Phil Leavitt (drums).The band's songs feature both Michael and Joie sharing the vocals on each song. The group wrote highly melodic, harmony laden tunes, and their constant touring with two and a half to three hour performances won them a wide fanbase.

MEIKO

Meiko (pronounced MEE-ko) is an American singer/songwriter, born and raised in Roberta, Georgia and currently residing in Los Angeles, California. She independently released a self-titled album on September 1, 2007 -- without the help of a record label, her album reached #35 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums chart. It was also iTunes’ #1 Singer-Songwriter album for over a month and in under nine months, over 200,000 singles had been downloaded from iTunes. In June 2008 Meiko signed a recording deal with MySpace Records/DGC, who released her album in partnership with Lucky Ear Music. The digital album re-release was August 5, 2008, and on November 21, 2008, the Meiko LP became the #1 best-selling album on Amazon.com.

TYRONE WELLS

Tyrone Wells is a singer/songwriter in the folk pop genre from Spokane, Washington. His songs have been featured in television shows (Rescue Me, One Tree Hill, North Shore, What About Brian, Numb3rs, The Mountain, Windfall, Wildfire, Ghost Whisperer, The Bedford Diaries, Three Moons Over Milford, Meet the Barkers) and film (Everyone's Hero). Tyrone set a record in 2006 at the National Association for Campus Activities for most college and university bookings in the history of the Convention from a single showcase. In 2000 Tyrone launched his solo career, playing regular acoustic shows in Orange County, California, where he and a small movement of folk, pop and urban folk artists including Mike Barnet, Danny Vasquez and Jaycob Van Auken formed a loose coalition called True American Records. In 2006 Tyrone signed a recording contract with Universal Records. They re-released his independent album Hold On on the internet in 2006, and released it in stores on Feb. 6th 2007. In his solo project, Tyrone has worked with producers Chris Karn and Marc Ford. Tyrone released his new solo album Remain January 27, 2009.

Over the course of his 30-year career, guitarist and vocalist Coco Montoya's explosive guitar playing and soul-driven voice have propelled him to the upper reaches of the blues-rock world. From his early days as a drummer to his current status as one of the top-drawing guitarists and vocalists on the blues-rock scene, Montoya has forged his reputation through years of hard work and constant touring.

LEROY BELL

Singer-songwriter LeRoy Bell has just released his newest album -TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY. Written and recorded over the course of three years, STORY is the natural follow-up to Bell's acoustic- oriented SPENDING TIME album which sold more than 12,000 copies due to percussion. LeRoy’s first passion as a drummer gives his percussive guitar playing a unique position in his music. It’s the basis for all of his songs -providing a constant background of passion and soul to the music. Bell's knack for artful songwriting has an interesting history. As the youthful songwriting team Bell & James, who recorded for A&M Records, Casey James and Bell are the authors of Elton John's Grammy-nominated 1979 Top Ten hit, "Mama Can't Buy You Love," and John's 2004 number one UK single "Are You Ready For Love.” Bell and James also attained Billboard top ten status with their dance hit, "Livin’ It Up Friday Night". Bell's song writing eventually became his main focus over performing allowing him to collaborate with legendary songwriter/producer Thom Bell (his uncle) and with again with James penning songs for The Spinners, The OJays, Rita Marley, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Phyllis Hyman and many more.

CURT SMITH

Curt Smith is a musician, singer and songwriter, whose soaring voice is instantly recognizable to the millions of worldwide fans of Tears for Fears, the British group he co-founded in 1981. Still an active, acclaimed musician more than two decades later, Smith released his second solo album Halfway, pleased via his own KOOK Media imprint in May 2008. In addition to his solo career, the prolific Smith has also written music for television and is collaborating on a theatrical musical. His next creative goal is to compose for film.
